Iantor (pf2e)

I converted for my home campaign as I am running the pf1e Adventure Path – Reign of Winter.

Wing Buffet [one-action]: Iantor flaps his wings, kicking up dirt, sand, and debris, granting himself concealment until he moves. (Concealment requires a DC 5 flat check for creatures targeting him.)

Smoke Breath [two-actions] (occult, poison): Iantor exhales a cloud of smoke, dealing 7d6 poison damage in a 40-foot cone (DC 26 Fortitude save, basic). The smoke remains for 1 minute, acting as mist. He can’t use Smoke Breath again for 1d4 rounds.

Destructive Harmonics [two-actions] (auditory, evocation, occult, sonic): Iantor emits a sonic blast dealing 9d6 sonic damage in either a 60-foot cone or a 30-foot burst (DC 26 Reflex save, basic). He can’t use Destructive Harmonics again for 1d4 rounds.

Draconic Fury [two-actions]: Iantor makes one bite and two claw strikes in a flurry of attacks.

Draconic Momentum: After Iantor scores a critical hit with a strike, he immediately regains the use of his Smoke Breath.


Occult Innate Spells (DC 26)

  • 4th: charm (Suggest a course of action for 1 hour, Will save negates) [Incapacitation]; mind reading (at will, probe thoughts of a creature for 1 minute, Will save negates); rewrite memory (Alters the target’s memories for up to 5 minutes, Will save negates)
  • 1st: charm (at will, suggest a course of action for 1 hour, Will save negates) [Incapacitation]

Tactics

During Combat: Iantor stays in the air and uses his wings to kick up dirt, sand, and dust to gain concealment from enemies. He tries to keep out of melee combat, pounding foes with his Destructive Harmonics. Iantor reserves his Smoke Breath until he can catch at least 3 opponents in its cone of effect.

Morale: If reduced to 50 hit points or fewer, Iantor flees deeper into the palace, either to join his father in area D20 (50% chance) or to his own quarters in area D10 (50% chance) to lick his wounds.
