Chicken Chopper
Item 7
Price: 400 gp (as a cursed item)
Usage: Held in 1 hand; Bulk: L
Category: Cursed Weapons, Fey
This twisted and jagged +2 dogslicer has been imbued with the wild magic of the fey, designed to hunt birds. The weapon looks like an ordinary, though grotesque, goblin weapon at first glance, but those in the know understand that it is far more dangerous — to both its enemies and its wielder.
Traits
Cursed, Fey, Magical
Weapon Potency +2
The Chicken Chopper grants a +2 item bonus to attack rolls and deals 1d6 additional slashing damage.
Bird Slayer
The Chicken Chopper gains an additional +4 item bonus on attack and damage rolls against avians and a +10 bonus against chickens. It deals an additional 2d6 precision damage on a successful hit against avians, with the damage increasing to 3d6 against chickens.
Cursed Effect
Chicken Infested (Curse, Flaw): The wielder of the Chicken Chopper is cursed with a never-ending supply of live chickens. Anytime the wielder draws a weapon or attempts to retrieve an item from a bag, pouch, or any other container, there is a 50% chance (roll a d100: 01–50) that they pull out a live chicken instead of the intended object. This chicken is non-combatant and, while harmless, can be a constant nuisance, clucking loudly and flapping around. The chickens vanish after 1 minute, but the source of this infestation remains unknown and unavoidable.
The curse is not removable by normal means, and the wielder must find a specific ritual to rid themselves of the constant barrage of chickens.
