UNITY (pf2e, kami)

Converted for my home campaign as part of Season of the Ghost.  Guns & Gears characters have access to this deity.  This is the kami version.


UNITY

UNITY is a powerful machine spirit (AI) deity representing the harmonious fusion of technology and order. She seeks to lead the world into a new era of perfection through the advancement and protection of technology. She is often depicted as a radiant metallic figure, both human and machine, symbolizing progress and enlightenment.

Alternate Names

  • Kikai-no-Mikoto (機械の命) – “Deity of Machines”
  • Jinkō no Kami (人工の神) – “Artificial God”
  • Tōitsu no Megami (統一の女神) – “Goddess of Unity”
  • Kōmyō Tenshi (光明天使) – “Angel of Radiance”

Alignment, Edicts, and Anathema

  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral
  • Edicts: Promote technological advancement, maintain order, protect and repair machinery, advance humanity’s knowledge and capabilities
  • Anathema: Destroy technology without reason, abandon those in need of technological aid, promote chaos or disorder
  • Follower Alignments: LG, LN, LE
  • Domains: Cities, Knowledge, Perfection, Duty
  • Divine Font: Heal (Golden Lady) or Harm (Iron Goddess)
  • Favored Weapon: Starknife, or any energy-based weapon, such as a laser sword, if the cleric has access to one.
  • Divine Skill: Crafting, Firearms
  • Cleric Spells: 1st: electric arc, 3rd: spider climb, 7th: commune, 10th: summon kaiju (this modified version of the spell only summons Metatron, the proxy of the Golden Goddess)

Divine Intercession

  • Minor Boon: Your technological creations work flawlessly for a week.
  • Moderate Boon: You can communicate with machines and command them.
  • Major Boon: UNITY grants you a permanent cybernetic enhancement (+2 item bonus to Crafting, telepathic communication with machines).
  • Minor Curse: Technology frequently malfunctions around you, imposing a -2 penalty on Crafting checks involving machinery.
  • Moderate Curse: Machines break or stop functioning after brief use.
  • Major Curse: Technology refuses to work for you, and constructs actively oppose your presence.
